Neck Lift
General Information: The neck lift is a procedure to rejuvenate the neck by removing excess skin and fat and tightening underlying muscles where applicable. The procedure can be performed through minimal incisions hidden behind the ear. It is a procedure frequently performed in combination with the facelift and eyelid surgery. It can, however, in the right candidate can dramatically improve their appearance, restore a youthful chin line and take years off the face.
Length of Surgery: 1 to 2 Hours
Location: Accredited Surgery Center or Hospital
Anesthesia: General or local with sedation
Recovery Time: The patient can usually return to work in 1 week or longer
depending on the individual. Exercise and strenuous activity may be done at 4 to 6
weeks following surgery.
Post Operative Results: Each patient heals differently; however following the surgery patients
may experience temporary pain, swelling, possible bruising, soreness and fatigue. The incisions are usually hidden and will fade with time.
It has been our experience that patients are very happy with their post
op results and their new look.
Helpful Hints: Be in good mental and physical health. Do Not Smoke. Help improve healing
by taking pre a
nd postoperative vitamins. Improve the appearance of small scars with topical gel.
