Eyelid Lift
General Information: The eyelid lift or blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat from the upper and/or lower lids smoothing and rejuvenating the eye area. It can also correct a drooping upper lid or raise a drooping lower lid. The procedures can frequently be done with the use of a laser so no external scars are visible. Recovery is very quick and complications though possible are very unusual. The eyelid lift can help you achieve eyes that appear more alert, younger and more attractive.
Length of Surgery: 1 to 2 Hours
Location: Accredited Surgery Center or Hospital
Anesthesia: General or local with sedation
Recovery Time: The patient can usually return to work in a few days to a week depending on the individual. Exercise and strenuous activity may be done at 4 to 6 weeks following surgery.
Post Operative Results: Each patient heals differently; however following the surgery patients
may experience temporary pain, swelling, possible bruising, soreness and fatigue. The incisions are hidden and will
fade and flatten with time. It has been our experience that patients are very happy with their post
op results and their new look.
Helpful Hints: Be in good mental and physical health. Do Not Smoke. Help improve healing by taking pre
and postoperative vitamins. Improve the appearance of small scars with topical gel.
